Our philosophy:

Bentleigh West Primary School values evidence-informed practice. We follow the explicit instruction approach, using cognitive science research to guide our practice. Explicit instruction is a very efficient strategy for helping students learn because it suits how the brain processes, stores, and retrieves information.
